Guidance Counseling at CLA: Equipping Students to Rise
At California Lutheran Academy, guidance counseling is about helping students prepare for what comes next. I work with each student to develop a graduation plan, monitor graduation requirements, and make thoughtful decisions about courses and opportunities along the way. Whether a student’s path leads to college, technical training, military service, or directly into a career, the goal is the same: to graduate with confidence and a clear sense of direction.
To be Equipped to Rise is to leave CLA prepared for the opportunities and responsibilities of adult life. Academic preparation is an important part of that, but it is not the whole picture. We want our graduates to think critically, work hard, serve others well, and approach life’s challenges with maturity, resilience, and integrity. They should be ready to contribute in their communities, their professions, and their churches, wherever life leads them.
That vision is shared across our campus. Every member of the CLA faculty and staff is committed to helping students grow into capable, thoughtful young adults who are ready for the next step and prepared for a lifetime of learning, service, and leadership.
If you have questions about our academic program or guidance counseling services, I would be happy to talk with you.
Sincerely,
Haley Jones
